Marco Delogu, Dan Dubowitz, Claude Nori, Bernard Plossu, Gilles Verneret
Collection "Sans titre" (untitled)
This book presents the work of five universally recognized artists.
They speak to us about Italy which they know, that they discovered or that they learned. Italy which they like, in more than one way.
With the wire of the pages, the reader discovers the plastic approach of five photographers, in black and white or color.
With the images of Claude Nori, we discover Italy of the Sixties. Those of Bernard Plossu make us take part in its voyages on the Éoliennes islands. We discover the history of the immigrant workers with the portraits of Marco Delogu. DaN Dubowitz counts the – today abandoned – summer camps of the fascistic era. Gilles Verneret invites us on the traces of Pasolini by photographing places where he lived, worked, or which inspired him.
This work is published within the framework of biennial "Lyon Septembre de la photographie", at the time of the celebration of the 150e birthday of the Italian unit and fact echo with the exposures of photographs of the artists in Lyon (Library of the 1st arr. of Lyon, Le bleu du ciel, BlooWorkshops)
